IS 2062 E350 plates and sheets are low-carbon, high-strength steel with superior mechanical properties and weldability. Their chemical make-up consists of Carbon (≤0.20%), Manganese (≤1.50%), Silicon (≤0.45%), Sulphur (≤0.040%), and Phosphorus (≤0.040%). These plates have superior mechanical characteristics, with a minimum yield point of 350 MPa, tensile strength of 490–610 MPa, and elongation of 22%.
