S355JO+N steel is a low-alloy structural steel featuring controlled carbon (≤0.22%), a maximum manganese content of 1.6%, and minimal phosphorus and sulfur levels (≤0.035%). The “JO” designation ensures high impact toughness at 0°C, while the “+N” signifies that the steel is supplied in a normalized state to guarantee consistent mechanical properties. In terms of mechanics, S355JO+N sheets and plates deliver a minimum yield strength of 355 MPa, a tensile strength ranging from 470 to 630 MPa, and an elongation of 20–22%.
